LMSD Offering Pfizer Vaccine To Students 12 And Older Friday
Sign up now to get the first dose of Pfizer's coronavirus vaccine Friday at Lower Merion HS. Second doses will be administered on June 4.
ARDMORE, PA — The Lower Merion School District is now accepting registration for students 12 and up to get the Pfizer vaccine if it is granted emergency approval for those as young as 12.
The CDC will review use for those as young as 12 Wednesday.
The Pennsylvania Department of Health said that it is nearly ready to begin distributing the vaccine to that age group.

Pfizer vaccine appointments are available from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday at Lower Merion High School, 315 E. Montgomery Ave. in Ardmore. Shots will be given in the school's cafeteria.
A second vaccine clinic will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on June 4 in the high school cafeteria.

District Health Services Staff and other volunteer licensed healthcare professionals from the community will be administering the shots. Students who get the vaccine must wait 15 minutes after their shot for observation.
Everyone will be required to wear face masks that fully cover the mouth and nose at all times while on school property.
Any student under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
