LOWER MERION, PA — July Fourth is quickly approaching, which means it's time to fire up that barbecue and find going on near you this Independence Day. We gathered up all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in the Lower Merion area so you can start planning now.
Here's what's going on in the Lower Merion area:
Narberth Borough

The Narberth Fourth of July celebration and fireworks will be held on Independence Day, Thursday, July 4, in Narberth.
The annual celebration will be held in Narberth Park.

Events will begin at 10 a.m. and run to 2 p.m. Attendees can expect family activities, food, parades, races, contests, carnival games, a dunking booth, and much more.
The fireworks display will begin at dusk.
Tredyffrin Township
The township will host its Fourth of July celebration at Wilson Farm Park at 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 4.
The Chester County Concert Band will be playing patriotic songs during the evening.
A fireworks show will being at dusk following the concert.
Wilson Farm Park is located at 500 Lee Road in Chesterbrook.
Conshohocken
Fireworks will take place on July 3, not July 4. The celebration is focused on Sutcliffe Park, where things get started at around 6 p.m.
There will be live entertainment, food, drinks, games, and more family fun. Bounce houses will be set up on the fields, and a live martial arts demonstration will take place at 7:30 p.m.
Fireworks will go off at about 9:45 p.m.
Street closures will be in place starting at 6 p.m. on the following roads:
- W 7th Avenue and Wood Street
- W 9th Avenue and Maple Street
- W 9th Avenue and Forrest Street
- There will be no westbound traffic on W 9th Avenue
- W 10th Avenue and Freedly Street
- W 10th and Wood Street
- Alley at the 200 block of W 10th Avenue
- Sutcliffe Drive
The annual Soapbox Derby is on July 4.
Philadelphia
U.S. Army Band “Pershing’s Own” & Fireworks at Penn’s Landing
- Where: Great Plaza at Penn's Landing, 101 S. Christopher Columbus Boulevard
- When: Saturday, June 29, 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
U.S. Army Field Band Concert & Fireworks at Penn’s Landing
- Where: Great Plaza at Penn's Landing, 101 S. Christopher Columbus Boulevard
- When: Monday, July 1, 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Wawa Welcome America July 4th Concert & Fireworks
- Where: Benjamin Franklin Parkway and 21st Street
- When: Thursday, July 4, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
