Lower Merion To Change Recycling Collections
Starting July 20, residents will have recycling collected every week, but different items will be collected very other week.
LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Recycling collections in Lower Merion Township are changing next month, according to the township.
Starting the week of July 20, recycling will no longer only be provided every other week.
Recycling collection will shift to a new model in which a specific type of recycling will be provided every week consisting of either paper or comingled recycling materials

Starting that week, residents will recycle comingled materials such as metal cans, glass and aluminum. The next week, residents recycle paper and cardboard products.
From then on, the recycling collection schedule above will continue, alternating between comingled material collection and paper and cardboard collection each week.

Lower Merion Township said this shift will lead to short term and long-term financial savings.
