Lower Merion Libraries Now Reopened For In-Person Visits
Daily hours are limited, browsing and computer use restricted to 30 minutes per person and books will be quarantined for 24 hours.

ARDMORE, PA —The Lower Merion libraries began reopening to in-person browsing and computer use on Monday, though daily hours are limited, browsing and computer use is restricted to 30 minutes per person and several COVID-19-related precautions remain in place.
The library system published the daily hours for its branches online. However, the library indicated the hours are subject to change and suggested guests continue to check with their local branches about opening and closing times. In a release, the library said the hours would be "regularly revaluated," and "it is our goal to increase hours and days in the coming months."
The library also has limited browsing time and computer use to 30 minutes per person in order to allow more guests into the facility. There will be no use of meeting rooms and lounge furniture will not be available.

A state order requires guests and staff at the library to wear face coverings over their nose and mouth at all times. Anyone who refuses may be prosecuted. Non-compliance also may force the library to close, with all guests being asked to exit the facility immediately.
Returned books and other items will be quarantined for 24 hours, and thus be out of circulation during that time. Items returned on weekends might be out of circulation longer. During the quarantine period, books will remain on a customer's account, but no fines will accrue.
