Lower Merion Transfer Station Opening Monday By Appointment Only
Starting Monday, residents and businesses can drop off items at the transfer station but must make appointments to do so.

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — While the Lower Merion Transfer Station is open through the weekend for residents to drop off brush and other materials from last week's storms, it will open for appointment only next week.
The transfer station at 1300 N. Woodbine Ave. will open to the public on June 15.
Those looking to dump trash, recycling, and tree brush or to pick up mulch and/or compost will have to make appointments to do so.

To schedule an appointment time to enter the complex or to submit a request for a bulk/special collection, call the Public Works Refuse Division at 610-667-1952 or 610-667-1953 or email to refuse@lowermerion.org
The price for dumping materials at the complex is 10 cents per pound. This fee will apply to commercial landscapers. Recycling material and brush for residents are free.

Bulk/special pickup service, which is done on Thursdays, will have restrictions to the service.
Payment for the special collection will be by mail only.
Staff will not enter residents' homes to assess items to be collected for pricing or to pick up bulk items.
Residents will be required to send photos of those items to staff for pricing and pre-payment.
Township staff will have the right to refuse pick up or limit pickup to only those items included in the original photos if collection items are different from those in photos.
Contractors and residents must make an appointment to enter. Face coverings for residents, contractors, and staff are required, as is social distancing.
