Performer Profile: BeesWax Playing Ardmore Music Hall Saturday

ARDMORE, PA — Live music is back in Ardmore, with the Ardmore Music Hall hosting numerous socially-distanced and limited capacity shows.

This weekend, BeesWax is playing the venue.

1. BeesWax is a collaboration between Beard-o-Bees and Wax Future, and Saturday's show is an album release show for the team-up. Beard-o-Bees is the solo synth project from Jesse Miller, of Philadelphia-based electronic jam band Lotus. Wax Future is a Philly-based electronic outfit.

2. BeesWax's new album is called "Royal Jelly" and Saturday's show will be the first time it's performed live.

3. According to Miller, he and Wax Future spent most of 2020 writing and recording the album. "The music draws on blues, funk, soul, left-field electronica, acid house and post-rock and psychedelic rock instrumental influences," he said.

4. Wax Future said the 11 tracks on the album "represent a ton of different feels and energies." "We’re truly proud of this collection of tunes," they said.

5. Wax Future will open with a set of their own music, followed by a set from Beard-o-Bees, then the BeesWax will team up to perform "Royal Jelly."
