Small Fire at Seminary Where Pope Was Staying

No one was harmed Saturday night when the minor fire was reported at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary in Wynnewood

Pope Francis’ visit to the Philadelphia region was mostly free of major glitches- except for the matter of a minor fire Saturday at the seminary that hosted the Pontiff.

According to the Inquirer, a small fire broke out in the elevator shaft at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary Saturday night, after the Pope arrived. Francis stayed both of his nights in Philadelphia at the Wynnewood seminary.

No one was hurt, and there was no suggestion of foul play. The Lower Merion Fire Department was called.
