The Baldwin-Whitehall School District has again been selected as one of the 2021 Best Communities for Music Education Districts by the NAMM Foundation. The Baldwin-Whitehall School District is one of only 686 in the nation chosen for this honor. According to the NAMM Foundation, "The award program recognizes outstanding efforts by teachers, administrators, parents, students and community leaders who have made music education part of a well-rounded education. Designations are made to districts and schools that demonstrate an exceptionally high commitment and access to music education." This is the third year the District has received this award. Marissa Virgin, teacher at Harrison Middle School, says the District is elated. She notes, "This is one of the highest honors for a music department and a district to receive."
