Whitehall Man Gets Prison Term After Child Porn Conviction
A Whitehall man will be behind bars for years after being convicted following an undercover FBI operation.
WHITEHALL, PA — A Whitehall man was sentenced in federal court to five years in prison and 10 years of supervised release following his conviction on child pornography charges.
Scott Kaercher, 28, was convicted of distribution of material depicting the sexual exploitation of a minor, acting U.S. Attorney Stephen Kaufman announced.
According to a news release from Kaufman's office, Kaercher was a member of a group called “Anything Goes” on the LIVEME application, whose the members shared an interest in child pornography. The FBI had an undercover employee monitoring the application, and the undercover person engaged in an online chat with Kaercher, who indicated he had a

In December 2019, Kaercher uploaded a child pornography video to the members of Anything Goes. A subsequent search warrant resulted in the recovery of Kaercher’s mobile phone,
which contained thousands of images of child pornography, including
images of prepubescent children.
After the sentence was imposed, Kaercher's bond was revoked and he was taken into custody immediately to begin serving his sentence.
