$10,000 In Silverware, Cash, Stolen In Villanova

On Monday afternoon,  reported to news media the following incidents from the past week in Bryn Mawr and Gladwyne:

Theft from building: More than $10,000 in silverware and cash was stolen from a home on the 700 block of Eagle Farm Road in Villanova between Aug. 16 and Aug. 26, police said. A resident discovered the theft upon returning from vacation; there was no sign of forced entry, according to the report.

Burglary: A bust of Benjamin Franklin, valued at more than $3 million, was stolen from a home on the 600 block of Black Rock Road in Gladwyne on Aug. 24, police said. .

Burglary: Sometime between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Aug. 24, the rear door of a home on the 1100 block of Hollow Road in Gladwyne was forced open, police said. A jar containing about $70 in coins, along with a jewelry box containing items of unknown value, were stolen, according to the report.
