UPDATE: Service Restored on SEPTA Malvern Line

Train service from Thorndale to Malvern was canceled Friday morning for emergency track repairs.

SEPTA has announced that service to the Paoli/Thorndale Regional Rail line has been fully restored shortly after noon Friday.

SEPTA riders between the Thorndale and Malvern stations needed to find alternate routes to Center City after the transit authority shut down part of the line Friday morning for a broken rail.

According to SEPTA’s website, emergency track repairs needed to be completed, causing the closure of the line at the Malvern station. Passengers at Thorndale, Downingtown, Whitford and Exton were able to use their stations to get to Philadelphia.
