Burglars Targeted Two Bryn Mawr Homes Last Week: Police
Two homes in the Bryn Mawr section of Lower Merion Township were targeted by burglars last week, but one break-in attempt was unsuccessful.
BRYN MAWR, PA — Lower Merion Township Police said two homes were targeted by burglars last week, and in one instance the burglars were successful.
The first incidents occurred between Thursday and Saturday.
A home on the 1000 block of Mount Pleasant Road was broken into sometime between 2 p.m. Thursday and 12:18 p.m. Saturday, police said.

The burglar got into the home by breaking a second-floor bathroom window.
After getting inside the home, the burglar stole jewelry and cash, police said.

Then at 6:41 p.m. on Friday, an attempted break in occurred at a home on the 1200 block of Ridgewood Road in Bryn Mawr.
The burglar tried to get inside the home by breaking the glass in a back kitchen door, police said.
However, that activated an alarm system, police said.
Nothing appeared to have been stolen from the home, according to police.
Police also said a home in the Haverford section of Lower Merion was broken into late last week.
