Child Psychology, Anxiety Expert To Speak At Main Line School
Dr. Katherine Dahlsgaard from CHOP will weigh in on all things child anxiety at a Main Line school on Jan. 10. The event is free to attend.

Two Main Line educational institutions are teaming up for another installment of a speaker series, where they will welcome a child psychologist and anxiety expert from the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia to weigh in on all things child anxiety.
The Agnes Irwin School and the Radnor Township School District PTOs and PTSA are presenting the fifth annual Radnor Speaker Series with special lecturer Katherine Dahlsgaard, PhD, ABPP from CHOP.
The talk – called "Positive Parenting Strategies for Less Worrying and More Connection" – will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 10 in the Radnor High School auditorium.

Dahlsgaard will discuss normal and abnormal adolescent anxiety, the hidden cost of worrying about children, and positive parenting strategies to navigate this common issue, according to the Radnor Township School District. She will also speak with students at Radnor High School and The Agnes Irwin School about anxiety on Jan. 11.

Dahlsgaard is a child psychologist and anxiety expert, specializing in the evaluation and treatment of anxiety disorders, and is board certified in Behavioral and Cognitive Psychology.
She is a frequent lecturer and guest speaker and is published widely on the topic of child development.
Dahlsgaard serves as Clinical Director of the Anxiety Behaviors Clinic, the Selective Mutism Family Clinic, and the Picky Eaters Clinic in the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
