'Midsummer Night' Racing Series Returns To Bryn Mawr

Bryn Mawr Running Company presents the 8th Annual Midsummer 5k Race Series, run on the 2nd Thursday evening of each summer month.

Midsummer Night 5k #1 will be on June 9 at 7:30 p.m. at South Ardmore Park, 1498 S Sussex Road in Wynnewood.

The course will consist of 3 circuits on a slightly rolling course called the “Ardmore Loop.” Awards will be provided for in each race for overall runners and age groups winners by the Bryn Mawr Running Company and Brooks. There will also be scoring for those who complete all three races. Runners will accumulate points in overall male/female categories along with their age group categories.

Awards for the 3 combined races will be provided by Oakley. The 2016 event will be again be chip timed using the MYLAPS Run BibTag System by the Bryn Mawr Racing Co. Brooks Podium Technical Midsummer Series T-shirts will be distributed at the June race or during race packet pickup the night before.

After each race there will be an after party at Hykels Bar and Grill. Bring in your race bib for one complimentary beverage on us! Please bring the whole family!

A very popular kids race in South Ardmore Park will precede the 5k! Race proceeds will benefit Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and Lower Merion Parks and Recreation. Bryn Mawr Running Club and the Philadelphia Distance Run Scholarship Run will also be a 2016 beneficiaries. Since 2010, we have raised over $35,000 for these charities!! Cost: $20 until 5/15; $25 until 6/9; $50 for all 3 races in the series.
