Radnor Township Services & Infrastructure Projects Update For Week Of May 31
Miller Brothers continues PECO gas main work in the South Devon area & Beaupre sections of the Township.

REFUSE/RECYCLE/YARD WASTE SCHEDULE:
- Monday – District 1 Refuse
- Tuesday – District 2 Refuse
- Thursday - District 1 Recycling & Township-wide Yard Waste
- Friday – District 2 Recycling & Township-wide Yard Waste
- Yard Waste: Note that the Thursday/Friday pickup is only during the COVID-19 Emergency Declaration period. Service will return to Wednesdays once the declaration is lifted. Recycling collection will not be interrupted.

• Miller Brothers continues PECO gas main work in the South Devon area & Beaupre sections of the Township.
• Along with the above work South Devon Ave. will be closed a block at a time for gas main installation. Starting at Conestoga and working toward Calvarese Lane.
• Darby Paoli Road remains closed for PENNDOT bridge work
• County Line Road closure between Matsonford Rd. & North Spring Mill (320)* PECO will be performing tree trimming* County Line will be closed weekdays 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. & Saturdays 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.* Residents will have access to their homes
• PECO continues to replace 42 Telephone poles on County Line Road in the area of Wistar Road
• Roberts Road will be closed between Robinhood and Woodlea Roads from May 4th to August 7th for Culvert work.
• Bryn Mawr Ave.: continued lane restrictions for PENNDOT bridge work.
• Route 30 Airdale to Sugartown – lane restrictions PENNDOT mill and overlay
DEPARTMENT OF ENGINEERING
• Roberts Road Culvert- meting onsite w/PECO to determine duration of gas main relocation and the impact to the project schedule.
• Planning Commission Meeting, 6/1 (via Zoom) – Villanova University CEER Land Development Application.
• Radnor TAP Trail – finalizing easements.
• TAP Spur & West Wayne access to Friends of the Radnor Trail Park – reviewing three versions of the plan, to later present to the Manager and Ward Commissioner.
• Lancaster Avenue Sidewalk, Barleycone to Garrett Avenue – meet with Gilmore for update, including the following: North Wayne Sidewalk Poplar – North Wayne Pedestrian Safety Project
*All meetings are virtual.
DEPARTMENT OF RECREATION
New Programming Available:
- Sing Out Loud – Join us on Monday, June 1st from 6:00 to 6:45 PM for a FREE virtual music program where you can learn about singing basics, practice your pitch, and have fun singing with friends!
- Learn to Record Music – Join us on Monday, June 1st from 7:00 to 7:45 PM for a FREE virtual session where you will learn how to create your own music in the online platform Band Lab!
- Pet Show & Tell – Join us on Wednesday, June 3rd from 7:00 to 8:00 PM for a free program for families who would like to celebrate and show off their love for their wonderful pets!
- Gryphon Fitness Challenge – Take the challenge of walking, running, cycling, or skating 2 or 5 miles in this virtual, on your own and on your own course activity now through August 31st. Participants will receive a t-shirt and medal and race bib!
- Radnor Day Camp – Communication continues with Radnor Day Camp families as we plan in anticipation of several different camp scenarios that may offered this summer – we are beginning to narrow this focus. Please see updated message to our families at our website. A survey has also been made available. Free, Live, Virtual Sample Sessions of Radnor Day Camp will took place with great success on Friday, May 29th with over 50 participants!

Initiatives:
- Thank you to Public Works Sanitation Workers – Say ‘thank you’ to the hard work and efforts of our Township’s dedicated Sanitation Department by constructing a message to place on your refuse/recycling cans.
- Radnor Proud Pledge is a Department initiative that has been launched which expresses you or your family’s commitment to working together as a community to get through the COVID-19 crisis. It encourages residents to get creative with a chance to win one of two awesome prizes! This is the last week! Winners will be announced on June 1st!
- Park Little Libraries now serving as Little Pantries – each of our park ‘give a book, take a book little libraries will now be serving as pantries (these are located at Encke Park and two additional ones have been installed at Odorisio Park and Warren Filipone Park). During this time of COVID-19 emergency declaration in Radnor Township, all Little Free Libraries in our parks will serve as a way to support families in need by providing a discrete place where people can freely donate and retrieve non-perishable food items to assist their families.
- New Pet Pantry installed at Friends of Radnor Trails Park – a new ‘Pet’ Pantry similar to the Little Library concept has been installed and is available for residents to serve as a place where people can freely donate and retrieve non-perishable and general pet-related items.
- Daily updates, videos, and weekly residents challenges are posted via the Department’s Facebook page and new Instagram page – we have been working closely with our programming partners and staff to engage our residents via social media.
