WEATHER ALERT: The Hour-By-Hour Forecast for Bryn Mawr

Bryn Mawr could see more than 11 inches of snow, forecasters say.

The coming storm could make a mess of things for Bryn Mawr.

Snow will be heavy at times and make travel “very hazardous or impossible,” the National Weather Service said.

Expect heavy snow during the morning rush hour Thursday, the Weather Channel said. Snow will continue throughout the morning and into the afternoon Thursday, forecasters predict.

A Winter Storm Warning is in place from 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, through 7 p.m. Thursday, March 5, the NWS said.

  • Wednesday: Showers likely before 3 p.m., then rain likely after 3 p.m. Cloudy, with a high near 40. Southwest wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
  • Wednesday night: Rain before 11 p.m., then sleet between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m., then snow after 2 a.m. Low around 24. Light and variable wind becoming northwest 5 to 9 mph in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New snow and sleet accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
  • Thursday: Snow. Temperature falling to around 21 by 5 p.m. North wind around 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New snow accumulation of 4 to 8 inches possible.
  • Thursday night: A slight chance of snow before 10 p.m. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 6. Wind chill values as low as -5. Northwest wind 8 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
