40-Plus Mt. Airy Stores Offering Small Business Saturday Deals
You can use the interative map to see which businesses will be offering specials to encourage local shopping this Saturday.

MT. AIRY, PHILADELPHIA – The Saturday after Thanksgiving is all about keeping money in your local community, and the Go Mt. Airy Business Association is working with dozens of local businesses to offer unique deals on Small Business Saturday.
A total of 41 area businesses will be offering one-day-only specials.
Some specials include $6 crêpes at both High Point Cafe locations; 20 percent off holiday chocolates at The Frosted Fox Cake Shop; 20 percent off diapers and baby carriers at The Nesting House; $5 paint sessions at ArtRageous Brush & Flow; and many more.

Be sure to see specials and discounts on various merchandise will be available at businesses ranging from yoga and sweets to flowers and clothing.

"Having a small business on historic Germantown Avenue is amazing," Sherri Hall owner of Blacqskirt said. "People in Mt. Airy are diverse and very creative, and they support people doing interesting things."
Under the guidance of community development corporation Mt. Airy USA (MAUSA), the Go Mt. Airy Business Association has grown to several dozen paying members whose benefits include promotion across many channels.
"Supporting and sustaining local businesses is at the core of what Mt. Airy USA does," says MAUSA Executive Director Brad Copeland. "Small Business Saturday provides a wonderful opportunity for them to shine."
In addition to shopping specials, several special events will take place on Small Business Saturday.
- Big Blue Marble Bookstore (551 Carpenter Lane) will host a children’s story time reading of Football Freddie and Fumble the Dog by its authors Marnie Schneider and Susan T. Spencer
- Nostalgic Eye Care (6656 Germantown Avenue) will host a trunk show featuring Gucci eyewear,
- Handcraft Workshop (7224 Germantown Avenue) will host an open sew at their sewing machines for $10/day
- Edward Jones Financial Advisor Larry V. Daniels (7151 Germantown Avenue) and Allstate Insurance Agent Warren A. Clarkson (7120 Germantown Avenue) will each be collecting Toys for Tots in their offices,
- the Work Mt. Airy coworking space (6700 Germantown Avenue, lower level), Compassionate Provider Care Agency will host a job fair and Brett Parker Tax Services will offer free tax consultations for individuals and business owners.
"Small Business Saturday is a fun way to celebrate locally with this great event happening nationally," Hall said.
