6 Men Attack Grocery Store Worker In Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA — Police in Philadelphia said a group of men attacked a person in the parking lot of a grocery store near La Salle Wednesday evening.

According to police, the incident occurred at about 9:29 p.m. Wednesday in the parking lot of the Fresh Grocer located at 5301 Chew Ave. near La Salle's campus.

Six men attacked a 30-year-old man who works at the store.

The men arrived in two groups, one in a Ford F150 or F250 white pickup truck and the other in possibly a newer white Toyota RAV4.

The six met in the store's entrance then wait there.

They then saw the victim in the parking lot and attacked him, police said.

All six started kicking and punching the victim then fled in the two vehicles heading out of the parking lot toward Chew Avenue.

The victim was treated at a local hospital for the injuries sustained.

Police described the suspects as such:

• Black male, late 20's to 30 years-of-age, stocky build, beard, light complexion, wearing a white baseball cap, red zip up jacket with white/black stripes, black shorts over gray sweatpants and gray sneakers
• Black male, late teens to early 20 years-of-age, thin build, medium complexion, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt with "BMW MOTORSPORTS", in white lettering, dark sweatpants with white lettering and black/white sneakers.
• Black male, late teens to early 20 year-of-age, medium complexion, light beard, thin build, wearing a two tone gray hooded sweatshirt with "TRUE HIGH 02" on the back, with faded/torn blue jeans and black sneakers.
• Black male, late teens to early 20 years-of-age, medium complexion, beard, wearing a light gray hooded sweatshirt, faded denim jeans and white/black sneakers.
• Black male, late teens to early 20 years-of-age, medium complexion, wearing an orange colored hooded sweatshirt with "NASA" on the front and an American flag on the back, faded jeans and gray sneakers.
• Black male, late teens to early 20 years-of-age, medium/dark complexion, thin build, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and dark pants.
