All Philly Schools Dismissing Early Wednesday Due To Heat
Wednesday's early dismissal will be the third early dismissal for all School District of Philadelphia students in a week's time due to heat.

PHILADELPHIA – All School District of Philadelphia will dismiss students early again on Wednesday, Sept. 5 due to high heat, the district said.
According to the district, all after-school activities – including all athletic programs and professional development sessions – scheduled for Wednesday are canceled.
The district dismissed students early on two days last week due to high temperatures.

According to the district, just 27 percent of the district's school buildings have central air conditioning and that as heat builds during the day, buildings are experiencing uncomfortable conditions.
