Amid SEPTA Strike, The "Ghost Bus" Is Working Overtime

The buses normally used to shuttle Eastern State Penitentiary guests is taking on some of SEPTA's duties during strike.

As SEPTA is on strike, several Philadelphia establishments have commissioned the "Ghost Bus" to shuttle people around the city, NBC10 reports.

According to the outlet, the Ghost Bus – which is part of Eastern State Penitentiary's fleet that shuttle visitors to the "Terror Behind the Walls" haunted house in the old prison – has been brought on as a fix for a lack of public transportation on account of the SEPT strike by businesses, hotels, and Temple University.

NBC10 reports the Ghost Bus joined a pool of city transportation services, thanks to the city's Office of Emergency Management, that has over 1,400 city workers and jurors on Tuesday and over 900 on Wednesday.
