Chestnut Hill Church Transforming In Harry Potter School For Lunch Event

As part of the Chestnut Hill Harry Potter Festival, a local church is transforming into the Hogwarts Great Hall for lunch on Oct. 21.

CHESTNUT HILL, PHILADELPHIA – Chestnut Hill's annual Harry Potter festival features all kinds of Harry Potter themed events. Adding to the lost of Potter-themed activities during the weekend-long fest, St. Paul's Episcopal Church will transform into the Hogwarts Great Hall for a special, one-time event with proceeds helping the homeless population in the area.

The church will host two meals, one from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the other from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21 during the festival.

What will diners munch on? The menu includes shepherd's pie, salad, pasties, and non alcoholic butter beer. Vegetarian and gluten-free options will be available.

Not only will attendees eat authentic Potter-verse food, they might run into some Hogwarts professors, staff, and students in the Great Hall as they search for the Sorting Hat.

Tickets cots $40 per person, regardless of time and meal.

Proceeds from the dinner will benefit St. Paul's ministries to the hungry and homeless in the Philadelphia region.
