Chestnut Hill's Holidays On The Hill Kicks Off Saturday

Holiday on the Hill in Chestnut Hill promises weeks of holiday events, sales, activities and more.
Holidays on he Hill kicks of Saturday, Nov. 19 with Woodmere Art Museum’s ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas display. The display will feature selections for the collections of Woodmere and the Germantown Historical Society bring to life the classic story of the Night Before Christmas. The display will be up until Jan. 8.
Stag and doe nights begin at 6 p.m. on Wednesday Nov. 30. There will be stag and doe nights every Wednesday beginning on Nov. 30 (Dec. 7, Dec. 14, and Dec. 21). Stag and does nights will let you enjoy refreshments in shops, roasting chestnuts, extended business hours, the sounds of the season, and Santa Claus.

Dec. 10 brings several events, including the Chestnut Hill Community Holiday Parade form 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. starting at Germantown and Rex avenues – 8700 Germantown Ave. After the parade from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Dec. 10, you can enjoy photos with Santa, arts & crafts, elves bearing gifts, storytelling, gingerbread workshops, cookie decorating, treats and more as part of Sugarplum Saturday.
The Morris Arboretum, 100 E. Northwestern Ave., Philadelphia, will host Friday Night Lights At The Morris Arboretum beginning Friday, Dec. 2. From 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Fridays in December (Dec. 2, Dec. 9, Dec. 16, Dec. 23, and Dec. 30), the arboretum will be lit up and decorated for the season.Tickets are available now with member pricing being $9 for adults and $3 for children. Non member pricing is $16 for adults and $8 for children.

Sundays With Santa kicks off Sunday Dec. 4 at Laurel Hill Gardens, 8125 Germantown Ave. On Sundays Dec. 4, Dec. 11, and Dec. 18 you can visit with Santa and his elves so make sure you stop by to tell him what you want under the tree this year.
Holidays on the Hill also supports the Chestnut Hill Cares Toy and Book Drive.
