Join Friends Of The Wissahickon For Service Day Saturday
The public is invited to attend a planting at Thomas Mansion to beautify this historic park location​.

CHESTNUT HILL, PHILADELPHIA — Friends of the Wissahickon is asking for volunteers to join them at a service day in recognition of National Public Lands day.
From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28, the public is invited to attend a planting at Thomas Mansion. Your hard work will beautify this historic park location.
Those looking to help out will meet at 9 a.m. at the Wissahickon Environmental Center (WEC) Tree House, 300 W. Northwestern Ave.

Service days are open to the public but registration is recommended in case of cancellation.
The event will be cancelled in the event of heavy rain, thunder and lighting, high winds, and other extreme weather. Cancellations will be posted by 8 a.m. on the day of the event.
