Mt. Airy Business Improvement District Meeting Set For Nov. 28
Property owners who are paid up on their assessments are eligible to vote for the board's new leadership at the annual meeting this month.

MT. AIRY, PHILADELPHIA – The Mt. Airy Business Improvement District will hold its annual meeting later this month. The meting will feature board elections and a guest speaker.
The meeting will be held from 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 28 on the New Covenant Campus.
Anne Fadullon, the City’s first Director of Planning and Development, will be the keynote speaker.

Fadullon oversees the city’s planning, zoning, development services, and housing and community development functions.
The cabinet post she holds was created through a recent change in the City Charter to consolidate services and remove obstacles faced by developers in navigating city government.

State government allows for the creation of business improvement districts that raise revenue from mandatory assessments on property owners to promote and enhance the district.
The mission of the Mt. Airy Business Improvement District (BID) whose charter was recently renewed for another five years by City Council and Mayor Kenney, is to maintain a clean commercial corridor, while also enhancing safety and beautification.
"Our appreciation goes out to Councilwoman Cindy Bass, her staff, attorneys for the City and City Council and the BID Renewal Committee for believing in the BID and its mission," Board Chair Ken Weinstein said. "We look forward to continuing to clean, green, beautify and improve the Germantown Avenue commercial corridor from Cresheim Valley Drive to Washington Lane for another five years."
Germantown Avenue property owners, business owners and area residents are all encouraged to attend.
Those who are paid up on their assessments are eligible to vote during the board elections at the meeting, as well.
Light refreshments will be served at the annual meeting, which will be held in Room B10, Grannum Hall, on the New Covenant Campus, 7500 Germantown Ave.
Parking is available in Lot C across from Grannum Hall. Handicap accessible parking is located behind Grannum Hall.
