Philadelphia DA Candidates Debating Thursday In Chestnut Hill
All six Democrats and the lone Republican will debate at 7 p.m. in Springside Chestnut Hill Academy's auditorium.

Candidates for Philadelphia's District Attorney are set to spar at a two-hour debate Thursday March 23 in Chestnut Hill.
Sponsored by The Chestnut Hill Local and WHYY, the debate is scheduled from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Thursday, March 23, at the auditorium in Springside Chestnut Hill Academy, 8000 Cherokee St.
All six of the announced Democratic candidates, and a seventh expected to receive the Republican nomination, have agreed to appear at the event, a press release on the debate said.

The six Democrats who have announced their candidacies for district attorney are:

- Teresa Carr Deni, a former Municipal Court judge;
- Tariq El-Shabazz, a defense attorney who recently stepped down as first assistant to DA Seth Williams;
- Joe Khan, a former city and federal prosecutor now in private practice;
- Lawrence Krasner, a defense and civil rights attorney;
- Rich Negrin, a former city prosecutor who was city managing director under Mayor Michael Nutter;
- and Michael Untermeyer, a former city and state prosecutor and currently a real estate investor.
The lone Republican candidate, former city prosecutor Beth Grossman, will also be at Thursday's debate.
WHYY's Dave Davies will moderate the discussion, while Chestnut Hill Local's editor Pete Mazzaccaro will join Davies asking questions of the candidates.
The primary election is scheduled for Tuesday, May 16.
