Philadelphia Teacher Accused Of Taking Bribes For Good Grades

PHILADELPHIA – A School District of Philadelphia teacher has been removed from her job at a North Philadelphia school during an investigation into accusations of her taking bribes for good grades.
NBC10 report the teacher in question is Amanda Richardson, a humanities teacher at the LINC High School.
District officials are looking into the accusations.

"We are aware of the situation and once it was brought to our attention, we acted immediately," the district said in a statement. "The teacher was promptly removed from the school and both the Inspector General and Philadelphia Police have been notified. The School District of Philadelphia is fully cooperating with the investigation."
Philadelphia Police said they had no information to provide on the investigation as of Wednesday afternoon.

The Inspector General's office said it was unable comment on whether or not there is an investigation into the alleged bribes.
