Philly Among Best Cities For College Basketball Fans
Thanks to Villanova, the city found itself in the top five best cities for college basketball fans on a new WalletHub list.

A new WalletHub list has named Philadelphia one of the best cities for college basketball fans and Villanova University is one of the main reasons for the high ranking.
According to WalletHub, Philly at the fifth best city in the country for college basketball fans.
Philly edges out East Lansing, Michigan; Lawrence, Kansas; Lexington, Kentucky; Storrs, Connecticut; and Cullowhee, North Carolina in the rankings. However Philly itself was beat out by Chapel Hill, North Carolina; Los Angeles, California; Durham, North Carolina; and Bloomington, Indiana.

The Villanova Wildcats have the highest winning percentage among college basketball teams at 88.15 percent, which is six times higher than the Grambling State Tigers, the losingest team, which has a 15.57 winning percent.
Philadelphia also has the most regular season combined titles with 116.

Los Angeles is home to the country’s most national championship banners with 11.
Lexington has the most expensive season tickets, starting at $950, or 21 times more than a season of hoops in Hamilton, N.Y., which are $45.
To find 2017’s top spots for NCAA hoops, WalletHub crunched the numbers on 291 U.S. cities using seven key metrics, ranging from the number of teams per city and the winning percentage of each to stadium capacity and social-media engagement.
