CHESTNUT HILL, PHILADELPHIA — Another Philadelphia Starbucks location is getting scrutiny after a Muslim customer accused the store of anti-Islamic sentiments due to "Isis" being used as his name for his order.

According to the Council of American-Islamic Relations, Abdul Aziz Johnson had his name written as "Isis" on his cup the Germantown Avenue Starbucks in Chestnut Hill on Aug. 25.

Johnson, who was dressed in traditional Muslim clothing and gave his name as "Aziz," found "Isis" on his cup.

"Was this an innocent mistake," CAIR said in a statement, "or a sick joke associating Mr. Johnson and his friends with the extremist group responsible for tens of thousands of deaths in Iraq and Syria, thus perpetuating the lie that Muslims are uniquely prone to violent behavior and terrorism?"

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, Starbucks looked into the incident and said the company does not believe it was a malicious act.

"After investigating, we don’t believe this was a case of discrimination or profiling," Starbucks told the outlet. "The customer approached and provided the name Aziz. The barista mistakenly spelled it incorrectly. We have connected with Mr. Johnson and apologized for this regrettable mistake."

This isn't the first time a Philadelphia Starbucks has been accused of discrimination. A Center City location drew ire after two black men were arrested after refusing to leave the store as they waited for another person to discuss business.

That ended with the two men settling with the city for just $1 each under the condition that officials establish a $200,000 program for young entrepreneurs, and reached an undisclosed financial settlement with Starbucks.
