Philly's St. Paddy's Day Celebrations Among Nation's Best

Surprisingly, the new list from WalletHub doesn't name Boston as the top place to celebrate the Irish holiday.

St. Patrick's Day is creeping up on us and a new WalletHub list ranks Philadelphia as one of the best places in the nation to celebrate the Irish holiday.

According to the list, Philly came in at number 9 on the new Best Cities for St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations list.

Philly beat out Cleveland Ohio, which came in 10th.

Oddly enough, Boston was ranked third best, being beaten out by top ranked Buffalo, New York and Madison, Wisconsin in second.

What are the worst places, you ask? San Bernardino, Santa Ana, and Palmdale, California gave the west coast state nothing to brag about, as those cities were ranked the bottom three.

The ranks were calculated using various metrics, ranging from “Irish pubs and restaurants per capita” to “lowest price for a three-star hotel on St. Patrick’s Day” to “weather forecast," in 200 cities across the country.
