Show Me The Money: Jim Kenney Ranked Nation's Fifth Highest-Paid Mayor, Report Says
Philly's mayor earns nearly twice as much as the average mayor.

Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney is the fifth highest-paid mayor in the country according to a report from the American City Business Journal.
The average mayor in the top 60 highest paid mayors examined in the report is $125,078. Kenney earns $218,000, the report says.
While some may balk at the nearly double-the-average salary, the report says city size affects mayoral compensation, and with Philadelphia being the sixth largest city, Kenney's pay is not unheard of.

With Kenney raking in over $200K a year helming the city, other mayors across the country earn even more, the report says.
The top spot goes to San Francisco Mayor Edwin Lee with $289,000. LA's Eric Garcetti earns $238,00, while Sylvester Turner in Houston makes $235,000. Bill De Blasio in New York City takes fourth place $225,000 as the Big Apple's mayor.
