Style Festival and 40th Anniversary Food And Drink Specials: Main Line Events This Saturday

A style festival, orchard picking and a 40th anniversary celebration on Lancaster Avenue round out the list of events happening Saturday.

Here’s some of the events happening in and around the Main Line area on Saturday.

Linvilla Orchards’ 2015 Corn and Blackberry Festival, beginning at 8 a.m. at 598 Linvill Road, in Media. Pick your our blackberries, corn and other fresh fruits and vegetables, and then catch a demonstration on how to preserve your bounty from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Sciencetellers will put on science demonstrations at noon and again at 2 p.m.

Refrinery29 + Simon Mall’s Style Festival, at the King of Prussia Mall. From 1 to 6 p.m., enjoy live music from Austra and DJ sets by ASTR and Jilly Hendrix, as well as pop-up shops from indie designers and mall retailers, DIY and beauty stations and free photo printing.

The 87th annual Kimberton Fair, at 762 Pike Springs Road in Phoenixville, from 4 to 11 p.m. The country fair will include 4-H livestock competitions, home living exhibits and the Fair Queen competition as well as food and entertainment.

Gullifty’s Restaurant turns 40 with a celebration starting at 8 p.m. with live music from Ben Arnold, as well as karaoke. Located at 1149 Lancaster Avenue, in Rosemont, the restaurant will also serve up an anniversary cake, along with food and drink specials all day. A “signature draft beer” for the celebration will be provided by Victory Brewing, with 100 percent of the proceeds used to support Pennies in Action, a local organization that breast cancer vaccine research.
