Trolley Car Diner Offering New Boozy Shakes, Free Samples June 20

MT. AIRY, PHILADELPHIA — Trolley Car Diner Owner Ken Weinstein will celebrate National Vanilla Milkshake Day by introducing five new alcohol-infused "adult shakes."

The diner will also offer complimentary samples to all guests 21 years of age and older from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 20.

Adult shake samples of Trolley Car's "Pulp Fiction" flavor, which includes vanilla bean ice cream and bourbon, will be offered free of charge to all customers of legal drinking age during the three-hour complimentary tasting.

The other new flavors include "Mango Cream," made with Neshaminy Cream Ale and mango sorbet; "Vegas Bagel," made with salted caramel pretzel ice cream and rum; Bananas Foster, which combines vanilla bean, whiskey, banana liqueur and caramel; and the "White Russian," which contains vanilla bean, vodka and Kahlúa.

The "Mango Cream" was named the winner, among five flavors, during a customer tasting event held at Trolley Car Diner's Spring Fling on May 18.

"We've always been known for our shakes, floats and locally-sourced ice cream, so we decided to take things to the next level this season," said Weinstein. "These adult shakes were a huge hit at our Spring Fling, and our customers asked when we'd be offering them, so we decided to unveil them on National Vanilla Milkshake Day. We’re excited to introduce these tasty treats and look forward to serving them all summer long."

Trolley Car Diner is a family friendly restaurant open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
