8 Kids Sickened After Swimming In Southwestern PA Pool
The children experienced gastrointestinal distress after swimming in the pool recently.
ADAMS TOWNSHIP, PA — The Adams Ridge Community Pool in Butler County will be closed at least through Thursday after at least eight children experienced cramps and diarrhea after swimming in it. Two of the eight tested positive for C. Diff and E. Coli.
All eight swam in the pool on May 31.
According to the Adams Ridge website, the Butler County Health Department and pool maintenance company on Tuesday took samples of the water to be tested for bacteria. The same bacteria test is performed every week during the summer at the pool and reviewed by a lab.
