Cranberry Closes Playgrounds, Opens Golf Course To Walkers
The township has closed all parks equipment due to the coronavirus outbreak but is letting people walk the golf course cart paths.
CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA - To further encourage social distancing during the coronavirus outbreak, the township has closed all playgound equipment and fitness stations. To keep crowds from gathering in the parks, township officials are encouraging residents to exercise using the Cranberry's more than 200 miles of sidewalks.
Additionally, Cranberry Highlands Golf Course has opened cart paths to walkers, joggers and hikers from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily until preparation begins for the course reopening for regular play.

- Residents are asked to stay on cart paths, which are each three miles long.
- This is critically important on days when there is frost on the grass.
- Users are advised not to enter the maintenance or apiary areas.
- No bikes, scooters, skateboards or other items with wheels are permitted.
- No pets of any kind are allowed.
- The course itself is closed to golfers.
- No fishing is permitted in ponds.
- Parking is available in the clubhouse lot only.
- There are no water fountains or restrooms available.
- Residents are asked to dispose of their own trash.
