Cranberry CVS To Offer Coronavirus Testing

CVS is adding nine new testing sites in and around Pittsburgh.

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA — A week after opening two drive-through coronavirus testing locations in McCandless and Hampton, CVS announced Thursday it is adding nine new drive-thru testing sites in the Pittsburgh area - including one in Cranberry.

"As we move into a new phase of combatting the pandemic and as communities begin to safely open up their local economies, we need testing to be easily accessible," said Dr. Troyen Brennan, CVS Health chief medical officer and executive vice president. "By further expanding the number of drive-thru test sites available across our retail network, more people can be tested closer to home in a familiar setting."

People seeking to be tested should register on CVS.com to schedule an appointment. Those getting tested will stay in their cars and use the store's drive-thru window to receive the self-swab test kit. Tests will be sent to a lab for processing, with results available in about three days.
