Cranberry To Detail Snow Removal Plans

The township will provide a tutorial of its snow removal procedures on the township's 132 miles of roads.

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA - The township's public works department is planning a "snow and tell" for residents about the planning, process and procedures for handling winter storms. How the department tends to 132 miles of township roads in the winter will be the topic of this month's Township Manager's Coffee and Conversation.

The event will occur Jan. 21 at the township public works operations center on Route 19. It will include a tour of the township's garage and fleet of vehicles, as well as an outline of which roads are maintained by PennDOT.

PennDOT representatives will also be on hand to discuss their procedures for maintaining major throughways, including Interstate 79, Routes 19 and 228 and the turnpike.
