Seneca Valley superintendent Tracy Vitale said she was pleased that both parties were able to come to a resolution before the current pact expired. “I am grateful for the work that this group of support personnel achieved on the frontline to keep our children safe and in school as
much as possible during the pandemic,” she said in a district release.

Brooke Witt, the region field director for the Pennsylvania State Education Association, who acted as the lead negotiator for the union, said, “This year has been like no other and being able to reach a new agreement in the midst of all of the challenges was a tough task, but an important one. Both
the District and SVESP put a lot of work into negotiating this agreement and believe it is a fair settlement for both sides.”
