UPMC Expands Services Throughout North Hills Locations
Find out here what's in store for UPMC Passavant locations, the UPMC Lemieux Sports Center and UPMC Outpatient Center.

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA - UPMC plans to bolster services at North Hills facilities in Cranberry, McCandless and Hampton. Here's what is in store for each location:
- UPMC Hillman Cancer Center at UPMC Passavant
UPMC services will expand across UPMC Passavant’s hospitals. UPMC Passavant in McCandless is debuting new lung cancer diagnosis technology.
“In January 2020, UPMC Passavant McCandless will become the first hospital in the Pittsburgh region with robotic bronchoscopy for early lung cancer diagnosis,” UPMC Passavant president Susan Hoolahan said in a statement. “This technology is going to save lives.”

- UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital at UPMC Passavant
UPMC Passavant is adding UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital Services across its hospitals and centers. UPMC Passavant McCandless will add a full-service breast screening program with advanced digital mammography and diagnostic services and UPMC Cranberry will remain the location where breast surgery is performed.
Additionally, new screening mammography capabilities will be available at the UPMC Outpatient Center in Hampton Township.

UPMC Magee-Womens Specialty Services will open inside UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex in Cranberry and feature a comprehensive OB-GYN center comprised of physician offices, diagnostics and a specialized midwifery program. The location will also house a full-spectrum breast program including screening and diagnostic mammography, advanced diagnostics, minimally invasive stereotactic breast biopsies and reproductive endocrinology services.
- UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute at UPMC Passavant
UPMC Passavant recently added WATCHMAN™, an advanced cardiac procedure that lowers the risk of stroke in patients with atrial fibrillation. In early 2020, the hospital will begin performing TAVR, transcatheter aortic valve replacement, a sophisticated alternative to open heart surgery for patients with aortic valve disease.
