Viewfinder: 2012 Pennsylvania Farm Show Food
New items this year include pizza—featuring a potato-based crust and all Pennsylvania ingredients—that the state's Future Farmers of America Association is selling.

Held annually in Harrisburg, the event attracts about 400,000 folks from around the world and features nearly 6,000 animals, 10,000 competitive exhibits and 290 commercial exhibits.

The Pennsylvania Dairymen’s Association this year featured toasted cheese sandwiches, and the Pennsylvania Livestock Association sold a tender barbecue brisket sandwich to commemorate the 4-H’s 100th anniversary.

• The Pennsylvania Farm Show, which is open through Saturday, is the largest indoor agricultural event in the United States and is free.
• The Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg houses 24 acres under roof, spread throughout 11 buildings and includes three arenas.
