Baldwin Man Pleads Guilty In Brookline Bike Crash Fatality

Thomas Morton of Baldwin pleaded guilty to charges related to the death of bicyclist Austin Fike.

BROOKLINE, PA — A Baldwin man has pleaded guilty in Allegheny County Common Pleas Court to killing a bicyclist last year on Brookline Boulevard.

Thomas Morton, 23, pleaded guilty to charges of homicide by vehicle, involuntary manslaughter, accident involving death while not licensed and driving under the influence.

The charges were related the the Oct. 20, 2019 death of Austin Fike, 22, who was struck and killed by Morton's car at the intersection of Brookline Boulevard and Pioneer Avenue.

Morton will be sentenced in January.
