Brookline Fire Leaves Woman, Animals Dead

The fire broke out late Tuesday night, officials said.

BROOKLINE, PA -A woman and two animals died Tuesday night in a fire that erupted in a home in the 2200 block of Pioneer Avenue.

When firefighters arrived on the scene at around 10:30 p.m., they found the home fully engulfed. After the blaze was extinguished, the woman's body was discovered on the first floor. A dog and cat also perished, although one other cat survived.

The victim has not been identified.
