City of Pittsburgh Step Survey

If you travel in and around Beechview, or just care about mobility and the connections in the area, you may want to read this.

There is a deadline approaching if you haven't yet responded to the City of Pittsburgh about the city steps! You must reply online by Sunday, October 15th. If you have trouble, there are directions on the way to go through the city's new web page just below that.

Please take the time to comment on the steps in Beechview that you or a friend, neighbor or family may traverse that you wouldn't want to go away through this review. There have been some good ideas about the future of the steps. But, the maintenance of the steps is costly. If you think of the long trips that will need to be made up and down our streets, and the shortcuts to the T that would be lost, etc., if steps are removed, you may want to participate in this study. Also remember that Pittsburgh is known for being the city with the most steps "in the world". We should keep this status as we are on the top of many lists and is part of the attraction of the outside world to our wonderful city.
