Find out here where and when you can drop off medicine you no longer want or need.

DORMONT, PA - Dormont Police again are partnering with the CVS Dormont locatoin on West Liberty Avenue to participate in the Drug Enforcement Administration’s annual National Drug Take-Back Day.

The DEA began hosting drug take-back events in 2010. At the previous 12 events, millions pounds of unwanted, unneeded or expired medications were surrendered for safe and proper disposal. At the Take-Back Day in May 2017, more than 5,400 sites across the nation collected unwanted medications.

Dormont officers will be at the CVS Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to collect prescription and over-the-counter medication. The medication can be in its original container or in a sealed plastic bag, but liquid pharmaceuticals should remain in their original containers.
