Dormont Day 2018: What You Need To Know About 4th of July Fun

Find out here all of the activities taking place on Independence Day.

DORMONT, PA - Dormont Day is upon us, and the borough’s annual July 4 celebration promises to be a memorable one. Here’s what you need to know:

  • The event takes place in the Dormont Pool parking lot.
  • Activities will include game booths, pony rides, foot races, inflatable jumps, train ride and crafts, and will be offered from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Food booths will be open from 11 a.m. until dusk.
  • Dormont Day T-shirts will be on sale beginning at 11 a.m. for $15. Only 150 have been printed, so purchase yours early.
  • Bingo will be offered from 12 to 4 p.m. at the Dormont Recreation Center, with proceeds benefitting the Boy Scouts.
  • There will be free shuttle bus service courtesy of Keystone Oaks School District from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Pick up the shuttles at Dormont Stadium and Dormont Elementary School
  • The entertainment schedule:

The School of Rock: 11 a.m.
Daniels & McLain: Noon
The E. K. Band: 3 p.m.
Grunge Bob: 4:30 p.m.
Totally 80s: 7 p.m.

  • Fireworks, 9:30 p.m.
  • A free shuttle bus courtesy of Keystone Oaks School District will be available from 10 a.m to 10 p.m. You can park at Dormont Stadium and Dormont Elementary School.
  • Grab bags distributed until 4 p.m.

Purchase a $3 grab bag that includes goodies, drink & chance to win a bicycle. Money from the purchase of grab bags helps defray the costs of the fireworks. Grab Bag tickets can be purchased at the Dormont Borough Office, Dormont Pool and the Dormont Library.
