DORMONT, PA - It's the perfect way for your pooch to end the summer. What canine wouldn't like an opportunity to have a refreshing dip in a public pool? Your pet will have that opportunity at the 10th annual Dormont Doggie Dip, which will be held Sept. 3 at the Dormont Pool. The three sessions each will have a maximum of 150 dogs, so event sponsors Humane Animal Rescue and the borough recommend registering early. The session for small dogs of 30 pounds or less will be from 3:45 to 5 p.m. All sizes are welcome for the second session running from 5:15 to 6:30 p.m. The event concludes with the large dog session, for those weighing 60 pounds or more, from 6:45 to 8 p.m. The preregistration fee is $25 per dog. Event day registration is $35 per animal. Dogs must be current on vaccinations and friendly with other dogs and people. Grumpy dogs will be asked to leave the water and no refunds will be given. Dormont Doggie Dip: Put Your Pooch In The Pool

The 10th annual doggie dip will benefit the borough and Humane Animal Rescue.
