Dormont Planning Weekend Of Fun Holiday Festivities
The events kick off Saturday morning with the annual Christmas Parade.

DORMONT, PA - To say the borough will be getting into the holiday spirit this weekend would be an understatement. A host of family friendly holiday related activities are scheduled for this weekend.
The fun begins saturday at 10 a.m. with the Dormont Volunteer Fire Department’s annual Christmas Parade. The parade will be followed by ice carving on Potomac Avenue from 1-3 p.m.
The Hollywood Theater is offering a free screening of the Will Ferrell Christmas classic “Elf” at 11:30 a.m. The theater will host a craft and vendor fair from 1-4 p.m. at North Way Christian Community’s Dormont campus on Espy Avenue. The church will have a tree lighting event as well, beginning at 6 p.m.

The theater will host a Cookies With Santa event from 2-5 p.m.
On Sunday, the Dormont Public Library will host a holiday open house from 12-2 p.m. From 2-4 p.m., there will be face painting at Fredo’s Deli on Potomac Avenue.

The events are being sponsored by the borough and Dormont Main Street.
