Dormont Pool Won't Open In 2020
The coronavirus outbreak will keep the pool closed this year.
DORMONT, PA - Dormont Pool, one of the largest and most popular pools in the Pittsburgh area, will not open in 2020 because of the coronavirus outbreak. Borough council decided to keep the pool closed for the year during a meeting on Monday.
Borough officials said it wasn't worth the risk to attempt to open the pool.
They hope to be able to celebrate the pool's 100th anniversary in 2021.
