Election 2017: Dormont, Brookline, Keystone Oaks Results
Brookline has a new Pittsburgh city council representative.

DORMONT, PA - There was little election suspense in Dormont or Brookline Tuesday. Here’s what happened.
DORMONT
Democratic Mayor Jason Walsh had no Republican opponent and was elected.There were no GOP candidates for council, either, so the Democrats vying for four council seats - incumbents Jeffrey Fabus, Jennifer Mazzocco, Drew Lehman and newcomer Joanna Bouldin - were elected.

BROOKLINE
The only contested city council race was in District 4, which includes Brookline. Democrat Anthony Coghill defeated Republican Cletus Cibrone-Abate. With 98 percent of precincts reporting, Coghill had nearly 80 percent of the vote.

Coghill, 51, a Beechview roofing contractor, and Abate, 48, an Overbrook community activist, were battling to be the successor to councilwoman Natalia Rudiak, who decided against seeking a third term.
In the Pittsburgh mayoral race, Democratic incumbent Bill Peduto had no Republican opponent and won a second term.
KEYSTONE OAKS SCHOOL DISTRICT
For the two seats open in Region 1, Democrats Annie Shaw and Santo Rason had no Republican opponent and were elected. Similarly in District 2, Democratic incumbents Matthew Cesario and Neely Crowell ran unopposed and were elected.
