Forget About Using The Liberty Bridge Yet Again This Weekend

PITTSBURGH, PA - One thing motorists traveling to or from the South Hills have learned to count on in recent months is this: If it’s the weekend, they need to find an alternative to the Liberty Bridge.

PennDOT will close the bridge and the inbound Liberty Tunnel yet again as part of a seemingly endless rehabilitation of the span and tunnel. Weather permitting, the clousres wil be in effect from 8 p..m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday.

And though most people probably already know this by now, the outbound Liberty Tunnel and P.J. McArdle Roadway will remain open the entire weekend.
