BROOKLINE, PA - The Allegheny County Health Department has closed Las Palmas, the popular Mexican grocery known for having one of Pittsburgh's best street taco stands. The closure comes a week after the health department issued a consumer alert for the business.

A reinspection Tuesday found most of the violations from the previous inspection had not been corrected. Many foods were stored at unsafe temperatures, the facility lacks a hand sink in the back preparation room and outside cooking and serving area and the hand sink in the kitchen didn't have hand soap.

The closure does not apply to the Las Palmas Oakland location. You can see the entire inspection report by clicking on the link.
